Vins Perdigons was born in 2013 after three generations dedicated to vineyards in Camp de Tarragona. The winemaker Marc Llagostera decides to start his adventure in Terra Alta, after he has acquired experience in different wineries. He starts a new project with the aim of producing differents wines, using local varieties of the area as Macabeu and Garnatxa Negra. Thus maintaining the character of the Terra Alta and providing a personal touch.
The name of Vins Perdigons comes from the farm with the same name in Gandesa, where is grown the Garnatxa Negra.
Our wines want to transmit the personality of the varieties that are used, its terroir and the history of old wineyards.
Our wines come from grapes from wineyards in Gandesa in the DO Terra Alta.
We elaborate two wines, Perdigons Blanc and Perdigons Negre.
The wineyards are at an altitude of 350 – 500- above the level of the sea, with limestone and clay soils low in organic matter typical of Terra Alta.
The cultivation of wineyards is ecological treating the environment with the utmost care.
To produce Perdigons Blanc we use the variety of Macabeu. It is a typical variety of the area that comes from a very old wineyards where the yield per vine is very low and provides a maximum concentration per grape.
Macabeu is a variety of white vine originary from Catalonia.
To produce Perdigons Negre we use the variety of Garnatxa Negra. It is a typical variety of Terra Alta that comes from old wineyards where the yield is low to have good concentration.
All our wines do not contain sulphites at bottling.
